Using The Dance Floor Controls

Step 1: Select a theme image.

Pick a theme from the list showing on the left. Change the image showing by iterating through the thumbnail images that display above the canvas area when a theme is selected.

Step 2: Choose an effect.

The effects are used to modify the image that displays by altering pixels at a granular level. The image will appear and shift in and out of focus. Nothing remains static for very long. The speed control lets you change the transition speed.

Step 3: Select a pattern.

The pattern will appear on top of the image and move about in a cyclical manner. You can choose squares, dots, triangles and stars. You can also change the density of the patterns.

Step 4: Pick a colour.

The colour picker changes the colour of the pattern that displays.

Step 5: Snap it to save your selection.

The snap it button saves your selections. You have four frames to work with. You can change the picture theme pattern and colour four times over. You can also change the speed of the transitions.

Step 6: Preview your work.

When you click the preview the canvas will iterate through the selections you made. You can change the order of the frames by clicking and dragging the little squares in the strip at the bottom right.

Step 7: Set the stage.

When you set the stage your changes are propagated to the live dance floor and will take effect immediately. A public message will appear in the group chat indicating you have done so.
