The ‘club’ is a 3d virtual space floating in bluesy no-wheres-ville. You pick one of our character avatars in order to enter it. Once all the avatars are selected by individuals then the club is effectively ‘sold-out’ and closed to any further guests for that 30 minute performance.
Once in the club you can move your avatar around the space and interact with things that light up for you when you come close to them or mouse over them; chairs for example.
Each guest is assigned a randomly picked collection of perms/perks they can use in game. These are: Dance Floor controls, Spotlight Controls, Painting Packages, backstage passes and more. You can trade these items with other players if you want something you do not have already.
A live streamed video performance will take place while you are in the club. You open up the video player and use it to view this musical performance.
The musical performers will also have a viewer that shows them the live action in the club space. They will also be able to view the public chat commentary.
You can use the virtual joystick to move the avatar around the space. It is a big dot at the bottom of the screen. This is the only way to operate if you are on a phone or tablet mobile touch device.
You can also use a keyboard with standard WASD keyboard syntax.
Mouse interactions allow you to pan and zoom the camera angles. Pinching and swiping will change camera angles on touch devices.
The game is web page with a canvas HTML element. It is not game console experience and the Internet we all experience it being unreliable at times. Mechanisms have been built in that will reload the page, restoring your game play; hopefully this will not be required, but, if there is a crash, that is what you do, reload the page.
